Error message when logging in to cash register

Read how to resolve an error message if you experience problems logging into the cash register system.

Are you having problems logging in at the cash register? This can happen with both new and existing accounts. However, there's nothing that can't be solved, chances are the solution you need is described below.

Logging in

After your account has been created in the Admin, you can log in to the cash register for the first time. Press the 'Other user' button and the input fields should appear in the side panel. Enter your email address and password here and click 'Login'.

You can then create a personal PIN code. From now on, when you log in to this cash register, you can select yourself and only have to enter your PIN code.

Error message

Since you are looking for help, you probably received an error message when logging in. This can have several reasons. Depending on the version of the cash register software, you may receive one of the following error messages:

  • 'Unauthorized'
  • 'The combination of email address and password is not valid'
  • 'The Ticketcounter API has denied this user's login. Check the following:
    -Combination of email address and password
    -TicketServiceUser Saleschannel matches the account's Saleschannel'

Possible causes and solutions

The user may have made a typo or forgotten the password.

In addition, a number of settings may need to be adjusted behind the scenes.

Solution

  • Please try to log in again.
  • Use the 'Forgot your password' function in the Admin to create a new password.
