Airplane mode ensures that a device cannot connect to the internet, among other things. In other words, tickets can no longer be claimed. In this article we explain how to remove the device from airplane mode. You do need the help of partner management for this.

Solution

To remove the handheld scanner from airplane mode, the following steps are required:

1. There are 4 physical buttons at the bottom of the handheld scanner. The second from the left has an icon of a house. Press this button.
2. You now have to enter your PIN code to turn off the secure environment. Call the partner line: (+31) 010 750 3230. We can also help you with the next steps.
3. You will now see the Ndevor program (management program) and choose 'Exit admin application'.
4. You are now in the regular Android environment.
5. Swipe your finger from the bottom to the top of the screen, you will now see all installed apps.
6. Go to Settings'.
7. When airplane mode is active, this is stated at the top of the screen. There is also the immediate option to disable it. When you do this, airplane mode will no longer be active.
8. Check whether the handheld scanner connects to WiFi again.
9. In the settings there is the option 'Network and internet', click on this.
10. The entry 'Wifi' has a slider behind it, which must be 'activated' / to the right
11. The name of a partner's WiFi network must appear below the text 'Wifi'. This varies per partner.
12. If the text 'Not connected' appears, there is no WiFi connection.
13. In that case: press the text 'Wifi'
14. You will be able to connect to the available WiFi networks
15. Choose the network for which the password is known.
